Every fortnight Botlokwa Online takes time to talk to our own community heroes, this are people who hails from Botlokwa, can be actors, community builders, book writers, entrepreneurs, etc. The purpose is to motivate and build our community and expose our talent to the outside world.
This week we spoke with Mpadi Tele, many would know him as we have featured him in two of our articles previously of Botlokwa Food and Wine festival. Who is Mpadi Tele? Mpadi like most of us was born and raised in this beautiful community of ours at Botlokwa Hospital (Health Center) on the 2nd January 1993. He grew up as curious kid and very enthusiastic about business and making money, we guess that’s why he is the person he is today, the entrepreneur.
He attended Kgwadu Primary School until grade 2, then moved to Mpumalanga where he went to Merlin Park Primary school in Kriel until grade 6, went back to Kgwadu for grade 7. He did his high school education at Motlolaohle High until his grade 12.
Botlokwa Online has met Mpadi several times, he never forget to invite us to his annual event Botlokwa Food and Wine Festival and we always make it a point that we attend, I mean the Food cooked by the best Chefs, who would want to miss that. Talking to him always seem so easy, maybe that’s why writing this article also seem so easy as he is always open to us.
At 26 we can say Mpadi Tele has achieved a lot, he is a social entrepreneur who is passionate about community development and radical economic emancipation.
He founded the Telentainment Management Agency in 2013, through which he manages artists and models and still operating to date.
In 2015 he was nominated and voted the Best Community Developer of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year at the Botlokwa Art Festival & Youth Awards (BAFYAs), in 2016 signed Dj Notch to handle his PR and management.
Mpadi Tele has been on the *Most Influential Youth List* since its introduction, he serves as the Founding Chairperson of *Capricorn District Youth Network Network*, Founder of the *ReadiBereka Lifestyle Brand*.
He's currently studying towards a diploma in Public Management at the Capricorn College for TVET at Ramokgopha Campus.
He's an ambitious Luminary who will stop at nothing before realizing all his goals and dreams. “O bose kudu go bona batho ba rena” doing great things for themselves and the community.
We have enjoyed our chat with Mpadi and we are looking forward to this year’s Botlokwa Food and Wine Festival, hope you have already bought your ticket, lets support this young man, I hope I won’t get in trouble for referring to him as a young man.
